Known for his irascible disposition, Mikahli seemingly struggles to properly show compassion or empathy to others. He shows no qualms when it comes to exhibiting his unyielding wrath, readily spitting venomous words, or casting irate glares. It is of no help that any simple spark can send him into a flying rage, even mere wayward glances. Furthermore, the Viera seemingly possesses an awful penchant for violence despite what he claims. If given the chance, he will readily throw a punch or two. It always seems that he is dressed in veils of flickering ire and a barrier formed from molten steel. Yet, beneath carefully forged walls lies a still ocean long suppressed, waiting, and yearning to be revealed.

The Viera's voice is often described as gravelly, his words often rough and lower in his throat. His tone is often one of apathy, only shifting with bouts of vexation. However, despite this, he isn’t loud and seems to struggle when yelling. Additionally, he has a faint Russian accent whenever he speaks.

Mikahli is like many others on Etheriys, a simple Viera who enjoys a cold whiskey. However, unlike many others, he can endure and survive grievous wounds. Even the most fatal injuries regenerate in a matter of moments as skin and sinew stitch itself anew. Yet, such a perk comes with a great cost…

If one ever engages in sparring with Mikahli, it is recommended to evade his vicious left hooks at all costs. Once a blow is landed, one may find themselves in a world of pain. This is all due to his magitek prosthetic, which is forged from metals and can certainly pack a punch. However, be warned. It is not easy to discern his steel limb, as it is often concealed beneath gloves and long sleeves.

Though he is often a stone statue of ire, and locked arms, it is possible to notice disruptions in the Viera’s demeanor. There are many tells he possesses, such as an awkward rub at his nape or a pinching of his nose. Both are little fragments of his countenance momentarily shattering before it returns to a nasty glower.

One who is quite sensitive to aether may take notice of the nigh imperceptible shift in aether whenever Mikahli happens to draw near. Though it’s akin to nothing more than the slightest tickle, the aether that encompasses the Viera is often drawn in. A similar phenomenon is likened to primals, though his form of “consumption” is on a much more minute scale.

When compared side-by-side to the typical male Viera, it is simple to discern that Mikahli trumps them in not only height, but muscle as well. In fact, his stature seems to resemble that of a Garlean. Yet, he has larger than average canines, a tail and a tuft of fur that covers a portion of his chest. It’s uncertain whether he is more Garlean or more Viera, a debate he has always endured from both parties.

Standing at the height of 6’7’’, Mikahli possesses a well-built structure, often valuing his strength over dexterity. His shoulders appear to be quite broad, jutting outward which is contrasted by his slender waist. A mess of ebony locks cascade down his face, which he often stylizes to frame his features and conceal a portion of his face.His attire can occasionally appear unkempt, as tailored suits or fashionable vests will find themselves embedded with creases. Mikahli often dons leather gloves, tucking them into his sleeves to conceal what slivers of skin he can. Additionally, he seems to carry a fragrance of whiskey and a muted aroma of spices.

Occasionally clasped to his back is a sleek gunblade that is forged from Garlean steel, and shimmers like polished onyx adorned with gold. Due to being constructed from a non-conductive alloy, it possesses the capability to rend through aetheric shields and barriers alike. When removed from the sheathe it rests, faint clouds of steam will exhaust from vents to help regulate the building pressure in the weapon. Such pressure can be blamed on ceruleum, an unstable and explosive source of ichor that courses through the veins of the weapon. While quite dangerous, Mikahli prefers utilizing the benefits and downfalls of ceruleum since it causes searing wounds whilst in battle.

combat

Mikahli values brawn over agility, readily preferring aggressive and gruesome blows compared to weaving plentiful attacks or seeking pressure points. When entering a hand-to-hand skirmish, he often favors brutal punches due to his metallic limb, but will swap between unrefined kicks, or grapple-like attacks as well.Even when it comes to combat with weapons, Mikahli excels, living in the bloody dance it brings. Admittedly, he lacks finesse in his style of fighting. However, lack of grace is replaced by sheer strength that lingers behind unceasing, ferocious attacks. Additionally, when lives he cares about are on the line, he will use his own body as a barrier and endure the attacks in their stead.

magitek

Weaving aether and forming spells at one’s fingertips is a skill, a skill that Mikahli lacks due to the Garlean blood that runs through his veins. Yet, such a drawback hardly upsets him as instead of weaving aether, Mikahli developed his own form of magitek devices. He is able to dissemble, resemble, and create machinery from scratch with immense ease. Even a swift glance is enough to give him ideas on how a certain apparatus might operate. Furthermore, numerous devices have been crafted by his hand, ranging from simple household gadgets to dangerous ceruleum-fueled weapons and prosthetics such as hearts or arms. With his constant interest in constructing familiar or unfamiliar devices, no matter how difficult the task may be, Mikahli’s skill and knowledge of magitek easily rivals that of Cid or Nero.

unwanted company

One can often find this man perched in crevices of bars, wound like a coil with a glass of whiskey clutched between his fingers. And like a wound-up coil, he threatens to snap any minute at anything. Even the smallest glance can send him into a fiery rage. Such steam will be released in either a string of insults, or a flurry of punches. Emptied bottles of whiskey will be used as weapons, as well as bar stools or even knives. Will you remain where it's safe? Or will curiosity get the best of you?

oceans of red

Whispers run rampant through the streets, speaking of a faceless shadow that carries a curved blade. Rivers of crimson cascade from his scythe, and pools at his stained fingers. The masked murderer terrorized Eorzea for years, spilling an endless ocean of blood whilst building mountains of carnage. Sumptuous bounties cry for The Reaper’s death or jailing, to pay for the numerous lives stolen. However, in recent moons, his crimes have seemingly dwindled to a complete halt. No bounty has been claimed, so what has occurred to bring such a reign of terror to an end…?

a touch of spice

Hardened scowls, biting retorts, and unfiltered violence are all pieces that come together to forge the imposing Viera. Admittedly, his exterior is quite rough, prickly yet steady, allowing none to witness his joys or sorrows. Yet, there is a single topic that will bring a glimmer of life to his eyes and his grimace to fade. If one was to mention cooking, especially recipes that are unheard of, Mikahli will become infatuated with the topic, excitedly exchanging what knowledge he has for techniques unknown to him.

once hailed, forever despised

Once, in many years past, a fearsome legatus guided the Vth Legion with an iron-fist and a burning determination. He was formidable in terms of strategy, leading to the subjugation of surrounding territories. Furthermore, he was vicious in combat, rarely sparing a soul as he marched a bloody path. Most deemed him ‘The Eternal Flame’, as his ire seemed to have no end. Yet, his burning rampage was snuffed during a failed siege, where he swiftly became a puppet for Garlean experimentation.
